Springfields Celebrates 1st Birthday

Springfields Outlet Shopping & Festival Gardens celebrated its 1st birthday with a series of VIP events on a floating marquee on the lake next to Charlie Dimmock?s Jungle Island.

The official birthday was marked with a champagne VIP Press Event, superb buffet lunch followed by tours of the gardens. There was a string quartet playing and a huge birthday cake. The first year has been a huge success with 2 million visitors to the scheme and many memorable events, including an amazing grand opening and fashion show, the Springfields Choir Competition, the Christmas light switch on and visits by celebrities and famous children?s characters.

The anniversary week also saw a VIP Education Event to launch Springfields Education & Fenscape Learning Opportunities and the 2005 Top Teacher Award. The event was hosted by Dr Cheryle Berry ? Director of Education & Cultural Services for Lincolnshire.
